Mont du Lac Resort is your premiere destination to learn skiing and boarding skills. Driven by a passion for snow sports, our instructors strive to provide each participant with a friendly and supportive environment. Alpine, snowboarding, freestyle or Telemark—we have a team with some of the most highly trained and certified instructors in the Northland, many with PSIA Level 2 Certification.

 

 

Private 90-minute lesson: 

  • Our private lessons are a perfect way for you or your small party to learn through private instruction
  • Instruction offered for beginner to advanced skiers
  • Rental packages available for an additional charge
  • Ideal for ages 2 and up

$49.99 for the first person || $29.99 for each additional person

Daily Lesson Rental for:  Child 6—15 yrs. $24.99  ||  Adult $29.99

Night Lesson Rental for:  Child 6—15 yrs. $14.99  ||  Adult $19.99

90-Minute Group Lessons:

  • Great option for families or groups to ski or snowboard together
  • Perfect for individuals to meet other people while developing skills
  • Skiers and Snowboarders are split into different groups based on ability level
  • Ideal for ages 8 and up
  • Lessons with less than three participants will be one hour in duration
  • Group Lessons are offered:
    • Sundays from 10 – 11:30am
    • Fridays, Saturdays & Holidays by appointment
    • Reservations required on weeknights & highly recommended always as sessions can fill up

Kids Club:

  • Spend the winter skiing or snowboarding with friends new and old
  • Ages 3—17 of all abilities welcome
  • Members will be grouped by ability and age to maximize fun and learning
  • The program is geared just for kids—fun games, skill building opportunities and mountain exploration
  • Kids Club Meets
    • Thursdays from 5 – 7 pm (Starting January 5th, 2017)
    • Saturdays and Sundays from 2 – 4pm (tentative start date December 10th, 2016)
    • Choose the day that works best for your family or select each week which session(s) you want to attend
    • Does not meet on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day

Holiday Camp:

Celebrating 55 years of snowsports fun! Kick off the winter season with five days of snowsports adventures.  Holiday Camp includes kid-friendly games, activities and skill building that promote becoming a better skier or snowboarder.

Schedule:

  • Monday, Dec. 26th Friday, Dec. 30th, 2016
  • Check-in begins at 9:30am
  • Program runs from 10am – 3pm
  • Includes two hours of instruction in the morning and two hours of instruction in the afternoon
  • Last day of camp features a fun race and awards ceremony
  • Safety, fun and learning are all part of Holiday Camp

Holiday Alpine Race Camp:

Start off your race season with a fast-paced four-day race camp that will give you that edge in the upcoming race season.

This camp is designed for skiers that are part of a race program such as Mont du Lac Alpine Race Team or the High School Race Team. We will incorporate race training drills for both Slalom and Giant Slalom racing with a GS race on the 4th day of camp and it is instructed by Mont du Lac highly trained coaching staff that will instruct you in those skills that you need to improve at every ski level.  The success of an athlete is consistent training, learning the proper techniques, hard work and practicing those skills is only a few of these successful tools that are great coaching staff will instill on you during these four fun filled days.

 

  • Ages 5 to 18 (must still be in High School)
  • Must be at least an intermediate skier
  • Athletes will be placed in skill appropriate groups
  • The 1st three days are working on SL & GS drills and race techniques
    • Free skiing
    • Fundamental Skills
    • Balance
    • Stance
    • Carving Techniques
    • Course Suitable Drills
  • Day four is GS Race Day
  • All athletes that complete the four-day camp are eligible to race in one NJRS race in the 2017 season
  • Price $99.99 (if you join the club after the camp this fee is applied to the club fees)
  • This camp is included if you are a current member of the Mont du Lac Alpine Club

Mountain Explorers Adult Club:

Our terrain-based approach takes the fear out of learning, allowing you to focus on improving your skills and having fun. When you are ready to explore more of the mountain our instructors are there to guide you in everything from learning to ride the lift to exploring moguls for the first time.

Adult Club meets:

  •      Tuesdays from 5 – 7pm (Starting January 3rd, 2017)
  •      Saturdays and Sundays from 4 – 6pm (Tentative starting date December 10th, 2016)
  •      Choose the day that works best for you or you can select each week which session(s) you want to attend
